Somalia Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in New York, on the sides of the UN General Assembly.
According to a statement from the office of Somali Prime Minister, both leaders bilateral cooperation and the current projects China is implementing in Somalia.”
“The security of the eastern African region, political development, strengthening the bilateral relations between the two governments and China’s support in the reconstruction of Somalia” were among the issues discussed during the meeting as cited in the press release.
“Somalia Prime minister thanked Chinese government in their role in supporting Somalia and reiterated the importance to strengthen the relationship.” the statement added.
