The battle flared up over a dispute at market in the town, leaving one civilian and injuring two others, policeman, Hassan Mohamud Hussein said.

Hussein told AGGM that police and local tax collectors clashed each other, adding that all victims had been taken into hospital.

Tens of other police soldiers arrived at the scene and then had intervened both sides, according to Hussein, saying that the clash was subsided.

“We are now launched an investigation over the cause of the clash. Those who are responsible for the fighting will be brought into justice”, he said.

It is not the first time that Somali soldiers clash each other over disagreement in south and central Somalia.
