MOGADISHU – At least three displaced children have been injured late on Saturday in an explosion near Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.
The explosion went off Arbiska area, when little children banged or played with an explosive ordnance device, a witness, Mohamed Hussein said.
Hussein told AGGM that the victims found the explosive ordnance device on the roadside while returning from school.
He says the injured boys had been immediately taken into hospitals in the capital city of Mogadishu.
“Two of them (victims) are in critical condition”, he said.
It is not the first time that children sustain injuries from explosive ordnance devices in which they found and played with it in parts of war-ravaged nation.
