MOGADISHU – Somalia’s defense minister, Abdirashid Abdullahi Mohamed and top chief Somali National Army (SNA) Gen. Ahmed Jim’alle Gedi known as Irfid have resigned over unknown reasons.
Minister Mohamed submitted his resignation letters to cabinet ministers late on Thursday afternoon, according to sources.
It is unclear the reason behind for the resignations declared by Mohamed and Gen. Irfid.
