The security forces in Halgan area said they have detained 9 suspects over killing of two Somali soldiers who have been shot dead by assailants on Friday.
Confirming the arrest, Guhad Abdi Warsame, the administrator of Halgan, told Radio Shabelle over phone that police are currently questioning the suspects.
Halgan village lies some 60Km west of Beledweyne, the regional capital of Hiiraan, located 350Km north of Somali capital, Mogadishu.
The area was hit by deadly attack on military belonging to Somali and AMISOM forces by Al Shabaab in last June, killing at least 100 people, mostly militants.
